The Perfect CAPI G&T

The G&T is a humble, simple drink. Its simplicity belies the complex, yet refreshing taste that it delivers to the palate. While it may only appear as a two-ingredient drink, its parts are so much more, each one of them as critical to the end-product as the other.

GRAB A GLASS
Make sure it’s strong and good looking
It needs to be at least 355mls
Don’t underestimate the power of your vessel to make a huge impression

APPLY A MEASURE OF GIN
Pick a bold, Juniper led gin
Make sure it’s 40% abv or above
Ratios are critical, so measure precisely 30mls

TOP WITH ICE
Use big ice cubes and lots of them
Fill all the way to the top
Full ice will give you a better ratio and slow down dilution

CRACK A CAPI
Pull a CAPI from the fridge and crack the lid
Fill the glass to just below the brim
All things being equal, you should have room for about 180ml

GARNISH
Using our garnish guide, pick a garnish to go with your gin
Make sure your garnish isn’t submerged and is right next to your straw
A fresh and carefully selected garnish will enhance the gin, giving you maximum olfactory engagement
