Season One Recommendations

Season one of The Source delved into the stories and rituals that structured the lives of an incredible group of entrepreneurs and passionate people from around Australia. 

Each of our guests shared many recommendations, people who inspire them, delicious restaurants, and places to travel which we wanted to take note of for you to go back and explore further.

With the main themes focussing around travel, podcasts or music to listen to, brands & people that inspire, as well as delicious food and drink - we decided to break them up into these main categories.

      • Ally Macrae: Ally is a Fashion Stylist and Art Director currently based in Paris. Get to know Ally.

      • Adam Goodrum and Arthur Seigneur: Adam and Arthur worked with artisan cabinet makers to build the furniture, which was then covered with straw marquetry – the 17th-century art of creating hand-crafted decorative patterns from thin, flattened strips of rye straw – by Seigneur. Get to know Adam & Arthur. 

      • Ben Law: Benjamin Law is a writer and actor, known for The Family Law (2016), New Gold Mountain (2021) and Wellmania. Get to know Ben. 

      • Tom Sarafian: He combinines traditional techniques and recipes with innovative touches, including his famous spanner crab and prawn hummus, fish fatteh and cheese maamoul. Get to know Tom. 

      • Laila Gohar: She creates installations and pop-ups in conjunction with art, design and fashion events. She is based in New York City and works internationally. Get to know Laila.

      • Max Rocha: A chef with serious pedigree and someone some in the industry might call an up-and-coming talent. Get to know Max. 

      • Daniel Ricciardo: Italian-Australian racing driver who is currently competing in the 2022 FIA Formula One World Drivers Championship driving for the McLaren Formula One team. Get to know Daniel.
         
      • Sadhguru: Jagadish "Jaggi" Vasudev, better known as Sadhguru, is an Indian yoga guru and proponent of spirituality. He has been teaching yoga in southern India since 1982. Get to know Sadhguru.

      • Matt Stone: Commencing his apprenticeship in 2003 at Leeuwin Estate and after moving to Perth, he was appointed Sous Chef at the famed Perth restaurant, Star Anise, at the age of 20. Get to know Matt. 

      • Jo Barrett: As senior Sous Chef and Head of Pastry, Jo strives to minimize waste, employing creative methods to get the most from every ingredient. Get to know Jo. 

      • Mark Lebroy: Founder of Three Blue Ducks, Mark started his career in cooking straight after high school in 1999 and landed an apprenticeship under Klaus Huber, the executive chef for Bennelong and the Opera House restaurants. Get to know Mark.
